About
The Center was founded to provide a safe haven for sexually and physically abused children in Campbell County. Working together with law enforcement, Child Protective Services, trained medical and mental health providers and our 8th Judicial District Attorney General’s office we are dedicated to delivering comprehensive service to child abuse victims and their families. Our focus is on the child, not the system. Instead of being interviewed countless times at different locations with various agencies, a child can tell their story to one caring and specially trained professional in a child-friendly environment where the child knows he or she will be safe. To provide better services to our clients in Claiborne and Union County, a satellite office was opened in Union County in 2006 and Claiborne County in 2010.
Although the Center is not a residential facility, we also can provide transitional accommodations for children who have been removed from their home in emergency situations. Our caring experts strive to ensure all children feel welcome and have a safe place to rest. Much like the comfort of a familiar quilt, our true goal is to comfort and provide understanding to the child.
